Dear Fellow Tumblr,

I understand you and I don’t know each other, but I understand you’re a fitspo/thinspo blog. While you are out there everyday trying to change your life for the better, whether that being losing weight or to tone your body, there are hundreds of kids out there that will never be able to make these decisions. Right now, you have a choice to change your life for the positive, but for many it’s not even an option. There are many kids out there dying. Many kids who will never learn how to ride a bike or fly a kite. I am asking you to support me in a 12 hour dance marathon supporting the children of our future.

I will be participating in the fundraising efforts of the Terp Thon charity organization for the upcoming year!

Terp Thon is a Dance Marathon and a part of the largest collegiate philanthropy in the country! Terp Thon benefits the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., which is the local affiliate of the Children’s Miracle Network. One hundred percent of the funds raised will go towards the hospital’s greatest needs, ensuring that children from our area will continue to receive world class care regardless of their ability to pay. This spring, Terp Thon will be hosting the 3rd annual Dance Marathon at the University of Maryland. Last year, we became the most successful second-year Dance Marathon in history, raising over $140,000. This year we are looking to raise even more to help create miracles!
